Growing Vegetables and Flowers for the Community
Collierville Victory Garden (CVG) is a community volunteer garden led by Memphis Area Master Gardeners. This education and donation garden grows vegetables as well as both annual and perennial flowers. CVG is a sustainable garden, striving to make informed decisions on plant selection, crop rotation, water conversation, composting, weeding, and pest prevention. In an effort to attract migrating pollinators, the garden dedicates space to a bee and butterfly haven.
The garden is sponsored by the Collierville Christian Church and located at 707 New Byhalia Road. Church Ministries, Moriah House, and local families in need benefit from the produce. Summer zinnia and sunflowers are donated to Page Robbins Adult Day Care Center and other local nursing homes and public buildings. Perennial plants are donated to the MAMG Spring Fling.
Volunteers are welcomed! Bring drinking water, gloves, hat, sunscreen, and small hand tools – check our Facebook page for photos and information.
Individual and group tours are welcome and available by appointment. Contact Twila Christian at christiantwila@hotmail.com
