Join the Memphis Area Master Gardeners and the Memphis Botanic Garden for this program on gardening in difficult times. The presenters will be Dr. Lelia Kelly and Carol Reese, both frequent guests on The Family Plot: Gardening in the Mid-South. Following their lectures, there will be time allowed for audience questions. No registration is necessary.

$10 MBG Members, Master Gardeners, & MG interns with badges/$15 Non-Members. Coffee and water will be provided, and the fee includes admission to the Garden. Bring five non-perishable food items for the local food bank for a chance to win door prizes. Call 901-636-4128 for more information.

Have you ever wondered why your hydrangeas never bloom? You may be cutting them back at the wrong time of year. Join the curator of the Japanese Garden at MBG to learn how different hydrangeas require different pruning techniques and timing. This class will require considerable walking as the demonstrations will take place in different gardens.

Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Optional: bring your sharp pruners if you would like to practice what you have learned. Class size is limited to 15. $12 MBG Members/$24 Non-Members.
